Hope For Youth

HFY Runaway & Homeless Youth Services

Since the inception of Hope For Youth’s Street Outreach Program in May of 2020, our Runaway & Homeless Youth Services have expanded. We have been able to increase our reach of new youth in need of services and also have been fortunate to expand our after-care program. When a youth discharges from our Shelter program, we have an Outreach Worker who meets with the youth on a monthly sometimes weekly basis, to help them with food insecurity, Department of Social Services applications, resume work, medication management, etc. These services are critical for most youth.

Another first, this past holiday season we were able to provide gifts to previous Shelter residents which included diapers, groceries, gift cards, clothing and toiletries. It was great that we were able to give a little extra to former residents, and their families in some cases, whom are in need.

As our programs continue to expand, we are grateful that the number of youth we can positively impact grows as well.
