Changes Bring Success
Over the last several weeks a few talented volunteers have transformed our Small Therapy Group Room used by our licensed social workers to hold sessions.
The paint color and furniture are soothing and inspirational. One Hope For Youth clinician, Heidi, told our Director of Program Development Kate Travers, “We all just love the new look, and Cherie the volunteer is great!!!”
When posing for the picture another therapist, Erin, said “Be sure to get the book shelf in the photo.” This addition to the room is used each day when kids are encouraged to take a book home with them after participating in clinical services or meeting with their case worker.
Valerie and Joan, two dedicated HFY employees, are our resident “Librarians” and diligently keep the shelves organized and stocked for the children. We anticipate the makeover of our Family Visiting Room to be completed just in time for our Social Work Month celebrations in March. Watch for those pictures in a few weeks!
