Hope For Youth

Celebrating National Foster Care Month

May is National Foster Care Month, a month set aside to acknowledge foster parents, family members, volunteers, mentors, policymakers, child welfare professionals, and other members of the community who help children and youth in foster care find permanent homes and connections.

Hope For Youth not only acknowledges but also celebrates those who make a meaningful difference in  the lives of youth. Want to learn more about  fostering and how you can make a difference, click here. Our information sessions are open to all who are interested in becoming a foster parent. There are thousands of children across Long Island that are in need of love, care and a stable home. Please consider how you might be able to make a difference.

Read about one woman’s story as she searches to find permanent homes for those foster children aging out of the system, who are at risk for poverty and homelessness. She is just one of many, who are dedicated to ensuring a bright future for youth in foster care.

We wish to thank all those who work tirelessly, all year-round, in securing a positive future for all youth!
