A Success Story

A 17 year old Suffolk youth was referred to Hope for Youth’s Adjustment Service Program (ASP) after being arrested and charged with a crime. He struggled at times to meet his conditions of probation, and refrain from negative behavior that could affect his case. With the help and guidance of our ASP staff, and his birth mother, he slowly demonstrated continual efforts to do better for himself and his family. It wasn’t easy but he continued to make the effort and work towards completing probation. Eventually he showed remorse for his part in the crime committed, and took responsibility for his role. His probation lasted 5 months and he has since successfully adjusted. He is one of many success stories in our ASP! The ASP staff work very hard to ensure that those youth referred to the program have every opportunity to turn their life around, and change their future for the better.
