A Letter from HFY Executive Director: 2014 Heroes For Hope Gala Sponsorship Opportunities Now Available
The Annual Heroes For Hope Gala, hosted by Hope For Youth, will celebrate 45 years of services to vulnerable children, youth and their families on Long Island. On this special night we will recognize our “everyday” heroes and raise critical funds to support the vital work and mission of Hope For Youth. The Heroes For Hope Gala is a great way to strengthen your market reach while demonstrating your commitment to community.
This year’s Annual Heroes For Hope Gala will take place in the iconic Chateau Briand on Thursday November 13th, 2014, from 6-10pm. We anticipate over 200 attendees with notable guests from the public, private and social sector. Our program will include highlights of HFY, a message from Dr. David Hegarty, Executive Director and Presentation of Awards. The day of the Gala we will announce our “Family of the Year” award to honor a very special foster family. This award acknowledges a family that has served HFY children in an extraordinary way over the course of the year.
We will honor Thomas Maligno Esq. with the Elizabeth Bass Golding award in recognition of his dedicated service as the Director of ProBono and Public Interest at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center and Executive Director of its William Randolph Hearst Public Advocacy Center. Throughout his extensive career Mr. Maligno has worked with advocacy and community groups on a broad spectrum of poverty and civil rights issues. Hope For Youth and Mr. Maligno are working jointly for the advancement of Restorative Practices within the Juvenile Justice system and he is an honoree worthy of this distinguished award at the Annual Heroes For Hope Gala.
