My time at HFY was one filled with many learning opportunities. The time spent at Amityville, taught me the importance of structure and proper ways of self expression in the lives of youth. At the Bay Shore center, I learnt how to engage with children at different levels of development. I learnt the proper way to interact with children with autism and other children in general. As a whole, my time spent at HFY is one I would not forget anytime soon, from the joy and laughter of the younger kids to the fun filled activities and outings with the older kids.
