Child Mental Health Rehabilitation Services (CMHRS)
Hope For Youth CMHRS Program specializes in treating children and adolescents (ages 0-21) with mental/ behavioral health disorders. This program is covered by Medicaid and Managed Medicaid insurances only. Our expert team consist of licensed social workers, licensed mental health counselors and bachelor level support staff.
Our staff are certified in various person-centered evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and in Child Parent Psychotherapy. These models are recognized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and NYS Office of Mental Health (OMH) All potential clients receive a comprehensive evaluation / assessment as well as individualized treatment plans to meet each child and family’s unique treatment goals.
All Medicaid clients can be evaluated to receive clinical services through an Other Licensed Practitioner (OLP) and/or Community Psychiatric and Support Treatment (CPST) and or Psycho-Social Rehabilitation (PSR). HCBS referrals must come through a qualified Health Homes Program.
Services
Children’s Mental Health Rehabilitation Services:
The program specializes in treating children and adolescents (ages 0-21) with a mental health diagnosis. This program provides individual, group and family therapy to children, youth & families in Foster Care and the community.
OLP (Other Licensed Professional):
Individuals licensed by New York State to provide individual, group or family therapy. This can include Licensed Master of Social Workers (LMSW) Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
CPST (Community Psychiatric Supports and Treatment Services):
This is a service provided by a trained professional under the supervision of an OLP. These services take place in the home/ community and help prevent children with behavioral health diagnosis succeed in the community. Skills covered by CPST are resume building, job interviews, Casey life skills, independent living skills and social/ interpersonal skills.
PSR (Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services):
Is a therapeutic treatment modality that provides rehabilitation for behavioral health disorders. The service is designed to provide interventions for children and teens to improve behavioral skills related to barriers affecting how they integrate into the community.
HCBS (Home and Community Based Services):
This is a service provided only by a referral through a health homes program. HCBS offers services and support to children with mental health needs and their families in their home and community.
