Styles P, is known for several solo albums including: A Gangster and a Gentleman; Time Is Money; Super Gangster (Extraordinary Gentleman) and The Ghost Dub-Dime. Two years ago, David Styles started writing a fiction novel, which was released by Ballantine Books on June 1, 2010. Entitled Invincible, the novel has been described as combining the adrenaline rush of an episode of 24 with the gritty drama of Oz. The story in Invincible has been described as having the same flair and proficiency he delivers with his music, which has earned him both critical acclaim and the respect of many fans including music industry superstars like Mariah Carey, Akon, and Mary J Blige. In an effort to reach out to the community and encourage a positive focus on family and education, Styles P has spoken at schools, prisons, colleges and at HFY.

Children at the annual Foster Care Christmas
Party

Hope For Youth has many children in various Long Island school districts ranging in grades from kindergarten through 12th grade. Our children may be scared to face this coming school year because they can’t afford the needed school supplies.
Back to school can be such an exciting time in a child’s life. Some look forward to reconnecting with their friends that went away to sleep away camp; some want to say hello to their favorite teacher from last year and other children may be seniors now; looking forward to being able to eat lunch “off campus”.
Please help us make the 2009 to 2010 back to school experience exciting for our children. Back packs, school supplies and gift cards can be dropped off at: Hope For Youth, 201 Dixon Avenue, Amityville, New York, 11701. For additional information contact Susan Lane (631-782-6540.

list:
Wii and Wii games; Game Stop gift cards; Movie Theater gift cards; Payless gift cards; Amusement Park gift cards.
All too often, the children at Hope For Youth arrive with all of their worldly possessions packed in a plastic garbage bag. Eventually these children will leave our residential programs, either for a foster home, a return to their biological home or even for college. Regardless of where our children are going when they depart, we want them to leave us better off in every way and with their clothing and possessions in luggage, not plastic bags.
Luggage can be dropped off at: Hope For Youth, 201 Dixon Avenue, Amityville, New York, 11701. For additional information contact Susan Lane or visit www.hfyny.org

Hope For Youth is developing their 40th Anniversary to be held on November 9, 2009 titled Cornucopia of Hope.
Cornucopia of Hope will honor its Alumni.
As part of this celebration, we are collecting memories from alumni and former staff who are willing to share their personal reflections of Hope For Youth. We are hoping you would consider joining this effort and sharing some of your personal story. To facilitate this effort we have developed the following five questions for the information we are collecting. We hope to include these stories in a 40th Anniversary Journal which will illustrate the transformative role Hope For Youth has played in the lives of so many young men and women.
