Hope For Youth, Inc. provides residential, foster care, preventive and out-patient services to children, youth and families. Residential and foster care services are licensed by New York State office of Children and Family Services; our out-patient clinic is licensed by New York State of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services. Hope For Youth has an established record of progressive, effective services to children, youth and families from the Long Island area. The agency continuously accepts applications for the following positions:
CASEWORKER
Responsible for day to day casework activity within the assigned functional unit to adolescents and families. Will act as the primary case liaison to parents, courts, schools, placing agency or other service providers. Will conduct regular home visits, school and community visits, provide independent living skills training to clients, establish transportation plans, assist with educational advocacy and establish and monitor community services plans. Must have a valid New York state Driver License and at least a BA in a related area.
CHILD CARE WORKER
Responsible for the daily supervision of residents in accordance with NYS, OCFS regulations. Ideal candidate will have an associate degree or related experience working with children and/or adolescents in a residential setting. Must have a valid New York driver license and verifiable references. Positions are located at seven residential sites located in Amityville, Babylon, Bellmore, Farmingdale, and Seaford. Residential programs are staffed around the clock, 365 days per year and shifts are available days, evenings and overnights and weekends with some part time schedules.
RESPITE WORKER
A Part-time mentoring position in the Therapeutic Foster Care and Intensive Case Management programs to work with children and adolescents in Nassau/Suffolk locations. Applicants must be 21 yrs old, and have a valid NYS driver license. Respite allows a child to spend time with a positive role model for fun and educational activities within the community.
